This is the reason  I sold a lot of stuff out of the garage, Jule's said something had to go ,she wouldn't,  so the bits in the garage did, no regrets, this is brilliant
Originally called Olvios, which is greek for Lucky, but everyone we know thought it named after a margerine, so it was changed to Elvira. To see her web page please click here
I'm not into horror films, but well , you only have to look
The boat looks OK in the photo's, but it really was a shitty blue colour, well , underneath all the green slime, leafs and years of dirt that was sitting on her ,so we painted it a shitty shade of green !!, only joking, it took a week to get it rubbed down and primed and it nearly killed me.
at her web site, and  she's an animal lover to boot.
The final colour doesn't look to bad at all, You do tend to think , well, it could have been better , then you go through the first lock , passed a load of overhanging trees , and then you think , Glad i didn't waste too much time getting a high gloss finish......

On to page 5, if you dare.....
back to page 3,don't pass go , don't collect £200
At our moorings, just look at those headlights.....
Sadly, just before Xmas we were told that the boat yard was to close, this was down to the Highways agency wanting to do work on the elevated section of the M5, and with no agreement over access to the yard, they pulled the plug.Bastards, people lived here, it was their home!! I managed to get some pic's of the demolition of Elvira's first home

Many of the boats have already moved on,leaving Richard and Jill's,Paul's and ours, The bonfire burned for days, the OBS sign burns with Nb Joseph, watching on
Now, I've shown pictures of Richard and Jill's dog Polly before, but with the yard being closed she was allowed to roam more in the day, she did take a shine to me, and tended to follow me around, here's a few pictures showing her creeping slowly into our boat.
"I'm here !! any chance of a bikky?"
"I'm still here, sitting now, looking pretty"
"I'll just stand on the edge, I would like a bikky"
I shut the "front door", as I knew she wasn't really allowed in our boat, and didn't want her to get into trouble
"I can see you through the window"
"I can breathe on the glass you know !"
"I'm aboard, peering through the glass in the door, please find me a bikky?"
Polly is great, love her to bits, cant wait to see her again.
